History Speaks! can develop educational tour programs for your town or historic property. Their tours and programs are fun, lively, and slyly educational. Take for instance the Arrow Rock Ghost Tours that Sandy Selby and her husband, Marty, host every fall. Guests visit historic buildings and hear real stories, albeit tragic ones, about Arrow Rock’s past. Sure, the Selbys talk about the local ghosts and unexplained happenings, but at their spooky heart, Arrow Rock Ghost Tours are educational tours. A recent History Speaks! project is the development of a tour program at the Blosser House and Barn near Malta Bend, Missouri. Ten years ago, this property was deemed the most endangered historic property in Missouri, but through the efforts of the property’s new owners and visionary designer, the Blosser Estate was transformed into one of the most beautiful homes in the state. The preservation of the house and barn are the centerpiece of the highly acclaimed book, Historic Style, which History Speaks! owner Sandy Selby edited. Now she is leading tours and developing special programs for that property that will take place one week each month from August through December 2024. Take a look at the Blosser Events website that Sandy created.
